Playoff game suspended due to rain, set to resume Monday

(Wilson, N.C.) – The Wilson Tobs and Peninsula Pilots were suspended due to rain after two innings on Sunday. The game will resume on Monday at 1:00 PM.

Tobs starter Nick Hollas recorded four strikeouts over the first two innings, but it was spoiled by a solo home run from Tommy Bell to left field in the second for the 1-0 lead. It was Bell's first homer of the postseason.

At 7:15 PM, heavy rain made landfall at Fleming Stadium, sending the game into a delay and eventually a rain out. The game will resume on Monday at 1:00 PM in the top of the third inning with Jake Boone leading off the frame for Peninsula. Tickets purchased for Sunday night's game will be honored for Monday afternoon's matchup.

Wilson and Peninsula's division playoff game will be available to view online on CPL Baseball TV and locally on Greenlight Channel 2.
