Pitt County's pitching staff took a no-hitter into the fourth inning before Franklin County battled with an infield single and a hit batter to build a rally with two outs. Pitt County pitcher Jack Rhodes would then strike out the next batter he saw on 3 pitches to end the inning. Pitt added an insurance run in the 7th on a Skyler Cross single, his 3rd RBI on the night. Franklin County would go down quietly in the 7th to allow Pitt County to celebrate at home plate with a 4-0 victory.
