Wilson, NC — Due to inclement weather, the Wilson Tobs have announced that Monday night's game against the Catawba Valley Stars has been postponed and will not be rescheduled.
Those interested in the third installment of the Legends of the Tobs series giveaway, a commemorative baseball of Brandon Hall, are asked to listen to Tobs broadcasts this week on 106.9 WUBN, beginning with Tuesday night at Florence for further information on the rescheduling of the giveaway at the ballpark.
The Tobs travel to Florence to take on the RedWolves, then return home to battle the Thomasville HiToms for the one and only time at home in 2009 on Wednesday, July 15 beginning at 7:05pm. The Tobs will be celebrating Regency Athletic Club night at the ballpark. Don’t forget, you can hear every pitch of the 2009 Tobs season with the Voice of Wilson Tobs Baseball, Dan Hasty, live on WUBN 106.9-FM.
The Wilson Tobs are a member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its thirteenth season, the Coastal Plain League features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts.
